Assistive Technology & Tools
Assistive Technology (often abbreviated as AT) is an umbrella term for a piece of equipment, software, or product that can assist people with disabilities to perform tasks more easily or independently. At Duke, we strive to provide a wide range of available technologies to address the needs of every person.
Web Accessibility
Duke's web accessibility website is designed to help people at Duke understand web accessibility requirements, Duke's Guidelines, and how to meet those standards. You'll find web accessibility definitions and terms, how to assess a website, how to fix problems, and where to get help.
Information for Instructors
As Duke University continues its efforts to welcome individuals with disabilities, the number of qualified students with disabilities has continued to increase. In order for the University to ensure timely exploration of necessary accommodations, academic units have identified individuals to serve as Disability Service Liaisons who work in collaboration with the Student Disability Access Office.
