Duke Recreation & Physical Education
The mission of Duke Recreation & Physical Education is to provide exceptional and diverse opportunities that promote healthy active lifestyles in a safe, inclusive environment. To that end, a wide array of recreation programs and services are offered throughout the year for Duke University students, faculty, and staff. Our members have access to two beautiful recreation centers that will cater to your specific exercise routine with newly renovated weight rooms, new cardio equipment, and multiple basketball, volleyball, racquetball, and squash courts. Our ongoing programs and services include group fitness classes, indoor rock climbing, swimming, intramural sports, outdoor adventure trips, and 37 sport clubs. Finally, our Physical Education classes are designed to increase students understanding and application of life-long health and activity based programs that promote healthy lifestyles.
